WALT: Write a creative story with Australian words, characters, and setting. 

Although the official language of Australia is English, there are many words in their vocabulary that are different than the ones we are used to.  Your task is to write a narrative that incorporates at least 8 Australian words into and utilizes each type of figurative language.  Format the Australian words in bold font and the figurative language in italics.  Use the checklist/rubric supplied by your teacher for the story - in order to use all of the best conventions of writing.
